New 21 bed Greenfield site facility, specifically catering to dementia patients, and a 50 bed redevelopment of the existing facility.
The principle consideration has been to provide residential accommodation that meets both State and Federal legislative requirements, including ‘outcome standards’ as administered by the ‘Standards Monitoring Team’, that enhance well-being in daily living arrangements, and meet Occupational Health and Safety Standards for both residents and employed staff.
The project required complex site services, including new hydrant tanks and pumps, which were upgraded to cater for future site redevelopment. This was made all the more challenging by the extremely tight with limited access.
In the building itself, custom ceiling-mounted services had to be designed to work with the complicated architectural high-raked ceilings.
