The main considerations of the MEP designs were focused around sustainability and reducing running costs of the facilities. This has included:
- VRV air conditioning, which, with inverter technology, achieves significant savings in energy, running costs and space.
- T5 fluorescent lighting, a high performance solution which has the potential to cut the energy use in lighting by 65%
- Solar Hot Water Units, which have been used to reduce one of the largest impacts on the nursing home’s energy bill, as well as cut their emission of Greenhouse Gases.
