Now in its 5th year, the Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo is Australia’s most established commercial event dedicated to the waste & recycling marketplace. The event is a showcase of approximately 100 specialist suppliers to the industry, showing off the latest equipment, products, ideas and innovations to over 1,500 industry and government attendees.

The event, to be held from the 9th to 10th October in Sydney, is supported heavily by the industry’s peak associations and government agencies, including the Waste Management Association of Australia (WMAA), the Waste Contractors & Recyclers Association of NSW (WCRA), Local Government NSW, the Australian Council of Recycling, and the Metropolitan Waste Management Group.

“After the successful show in Melbourne last year, we are delighted that the event is coming to New South Wales,” says Dr Santo Ragusa, Discipline Leader – Environmental Services, who is based in the Sydney office. “We are continuing to expand the Environment part of our business here, as part of our strategic growth plan, and there are certainly a lot of challenges and opportunities to explore.”

Alongside the exhibition will be a conference programme featuring some of the leading players in the industry sharing case studies and new approaches to waste and environmental management.
