Painted Hills Recreation Reserve Development Will Create Accessible Community Facility
Meinhardt is part of the winning Etch Architects team appointed by City of Whittlesea to design a new multi-purpose pavilion and sports fields.
The Project Vision is to develop the Painted Hills Recreation Reserve to provide a quality recreation and community facility that is easily accessible by all residents, is a welcoming community facility and provides a location where residents can create social connections.
This includes the provision of a multi-purpose community pavilion, with specific emphasis on soccer, two soccer pitches, carpark and landscape.
High levels of sustainability and the adoption of universal design principles are two of the key design criteria.
Meinhardt is working with Etch Architects providing Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical (including sports lighting), Hydraulics, Fire and ESD consultancy services.
