The Metropolitan Planning Authority was founded to plan for Melbourne’s growth, maintain a steady supply of quality housing and identify opportunities to create jobs and encourage investment to make sure Melbourne continues to be rated as one of the world’s most liveable cities.

The Strategic Land Use Planning role includes policy and strategy advice; land assembly advice; and stakeholder and community engagement.

The Environmental Planning role includes conservation area planning, design and management; ecological services; and contaminated land advice.

The Panel runs for 3 years.
